Belarus Remains Poland’s Largest Non-EU Market for Pears in October

In October 2026, Poland exported 1,734 tonnes of pears to Belarus, an increase of 59 tonnes, or 3.5%, compared with September. Belarus accounted for 80.3% of the total shipments to the five countries included in the October report by Polish industry publication Kobieta w sadzie.

Belarus received 6.3 times more pears than Kazakhstan, which ranked second with 274 tonnes. Shipments to Kazakhstan increased by approximately 75% over the month, while exports to Ukraine fell by 26% to 111 tonnes. Poland also exported 40 tonnes to Bosnia and Herzegovina and 360 kg to Norway. The five countries received a combined total of approximately 2,160 tonnes.

The publication cites data from Agriteo based on phytosanitary certificates issued by Poland’s State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service (PIORiN). The statistics cover shipments for which such certificates were issued and do not include exports to other European Union countries.

In September, Belarus was also Poland’s largest market for pear exports outside the EU. At the time, 1,675 tonnes were shipped to the country, accounting for approximately 84% of recorded exports outside the European Union. In October, shipments to Belarus increased, while its share of the published statistics declined by approximately three percentage points.
