The 4G/LTE network is planned to be fully deployed by 2029 along the railway sections Orsha–Minsk–Brest, Gudogai–Minsk–Homiel and Yezaryshcha–Orsha–Zhlobin, which form part of the transport corridor network.
Plans to develop mobile network infrastructure along railway lines were discussed at a meeting held on November 4 at the Belarusian Railway administration. Representatives of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, the railway and mobile network operators took part.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to conduct a detailed survey of potential sites for additional base stations. Railway infrastructure is expected to be used for their installation, the Belarusian Railway reported.
