Belarus and Serbia Discuss Economic Cooperation and Regional Issues

A new round of consultations between the foreign ministries of Belarus and Serbia took place in Minsk on June 24. The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ihar Sakreta, while the Serbian delegation was headed by State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Damjan Jović.

According to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service, the participants discussed the full range of issues on the bilateral agenda, paying particular attention to economic cooperation. They also exchanged views on key global and regional issues and confirmed that the two countries share similar approaches on most of them. The sides agreed to maintain intensive dialogue at all levels.

Later the same day, Jović met with Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou. The sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further expanding Belarusian-Serbian cooperation, the ministry said.
