Belarus and Russia are expected to sign rules governing their joint electricity market in the near future. The rules will supplement an agreement on energy cooperation signed earlier. Belarusian Energy Minister Dzianis Maroz said this on ONT television.
“We currently have a signed agreement, and in the very near future we are expected to finalize our arrangements by signing the rules under which the market will operate,” he said.
The rules will set out how businesses interact within the joint market when exchanging electricity.
