Belarus And Kazakhstan Begin Joint Exercises At Brestsky Training Ground

Joint tactical and special exercises involving reconnaissance units of the special operations forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces and the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, titled “Forest Brotherhood – 2026”, have begun at the Brestsky training ground.

In the coming days, servicemen from the two countries will conduct joint manoeuvres. The main focus will be on organising and conducting reconnaissance, as well as searching for and neutralising illegal armed formations in forested and swampy terrain.

“The exercise is aimed at improving joint actions by the units when carrying out reconnaissance missions, increasing the level of operational interoperability, practising the use of weapons and military equipment, as well as exchanging experience between servicemen from Belarus and Kazakhstan on the organisation and conduct of reconnaissance,” the Belarusian Defence Ministry said.
