Belagroprombank To Lower Interest Rate On Existing Housing Loans

Belagroprombank will lower the interest rate on previously issued housing loans starting October 1.

The rate will now not exceed 15.5% per year. The bank’s press service explained that if a loan currently has a fixed rate above 15.5% per year, it will be reduced to that level starting October 1.

If the rate is tied to the National Bank’s refinancing rate, the following formula will apply: refinancing rate + 6.25 percentage points. The rate will subsequently change as the National Bank’s benchmark changes.

“The bank will begin applying the new rates on October 1, 2026. The reduction will already be reflected in the interest accrued for October. The amount saved will depend on the previous rate under the agreement and the outstanding balance. The rates will be reduced automatically — customers do not need to take any action,” the bank explained.
