An autopsy of Mikita Melkaziorau’s body was conducted in Warsaw. The results are expected to become available in several months, journalist Aliaksandr Ivulin reported on Instagram.
The family is currently arranging Mikita’s funeral.
Belarusian journalist Mikita Melkaziorau died in Poland on the night of December 20–21. He was 37 years old. The Polish prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into his death under an article concerning involuntary manslaughter. This is a standard legal formulation used when the cause of death has not yet been established.
