An attempted arson attack on defense companies took place in Munich’s Berg am Laim district overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. The Sueddeutsche Zeitung reports. The attempt was unsuccessful.
According to the newspaper, several incendiary devices were thrown from a car. It noted that the headquarters of Rohde & Schwarz and Helsing are located in the Berg am Laim district, and that drones produced by the latter are used in Ukraine.
One of the devices was defused by company employees, while the second did not go off and was later defused by police officers.
The newspaper reported that the devices were thrown in front of the building of Rohde & Schwarz, which specializes in radio equipment. Helsing’s headquarters are located diagonally across the street.
A 28-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, both Bulgarian citizens, were detained shortly after the incident.
