Artsiom Brukhan has been re-elected speaker of the fourth convocation of the Coordination Council. The ally of Pavel Latushka received the support of 92% of delegates.
Two candidates ran for the position of speaker: Artsiom Brukhan (Latushka Coalition and the For Freedom Movement) and Andrei Kolas (Your Voice). Brukhan received 62 votes, while Kolos received four, including his own vote and those of three fellow members of his faction.
As the Coordination Council press service reported, the vote was held with a quorum of 66 out of 80 delegates. By faction, the results were distributed as follows: Latushka Coalition and the For Freedom Movement — 31 out of 34, European Choice — 8 out of 11, Nastup — 7 out of 8, United Civic Platform — 0 out of 6, Stop Being Afraid! — 5 out of 5, Your Voice — 4 out of 4, Belarusian Political Prisoners Bloc “Belarusians of Action” — 3 out of 4, and the Vola Movement — 8 out of 8.
