The Anapa-Minsk train will arrive ahead of schedule and follow a changed route, the Belarusian Railway (BCh) reported.
Train No. 489 Anapa-Minsk was scheduled to arrive in the Belarusian capital today at 17:10. However, it will reach Minsk railway station at 16:02. The train will follow a changed route via the Smolensk and Orsha-Central stations instead of Homiel.
Due to the route change, BCh has scheduled two additional trains between Minsk and Homiel.
“To ensure the transportation of passengers travelling on train No. 489 Anapa-Minsk from stations in the Russian Federation to stations on the Homiel-Minsk section, an additional train, No. 692 Minsk-Homiel, has been scheduled. The train will depart from Minsk-Passazhyrski station at 17:06 and arrive in Homiel at 21:25.
To ensure the transportation of passengers who previously purchased tickets for train No. 489 Anapa-Minsk from stations on the Homiel-Minsk section, train No. 691 Homiel-Minsk has been scheduled. The additional train will depart from Homiel at 12:53,” the BCh press centre said.
BCh did not specify the reason for the route change. However, today Yegor Kovalchuk, acting governor of Russia’s Bryansk Region, reported several drone attacks on railway infrastructure. Part of a bridge collapsed on the Dyatkovo-Lyudinovo section, and 10 railcars derailed. Another 18 empty gondola cars derailed in Unecha District. Railway tracks were also damaged in Navlya District.
