Belarusian Ambassador to Algeria Yauhen Sabaleuski presented his credentials to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this.
During the formal meeting, Tebboune confirmed his intention to visit Belarus. The parties also discussed planned visits to Minsk by Algeria’s ministers of foreign trade, industry and health.
“The Algerian president expressed interest in implementing joint projects to establish production facilities for high-horsepower tractors, passenger vehicles, grain-drying complexes and baby food, as well as in developing cooperation in pharmaceuticals and education,” the statement said.
Interestingly, the statement made no mention of the fertiliser production project that Aliaksandr Lukashenka proposed implementing jointly with Oman and Algeria during his visit to Algeria.
The parties also agreed to hold the second meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in November.
