Belarus’ High-Tech Park plans to include additive technologies in its list of permitted activities. This was reported by the council’s secretariat head Hanna Ryabava following a meeting of the HTP Supervisory Board chaired by Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn.
“Our supervisory board has the right to introduce new types of activities, which we then enshrine in regulatory legal acts. And today, this type of activity is additive technologies. We really see prospects in this, because additive technologies are not only a production cycle, but also a huge software component; they are that same complex software and hardware activity that is evolutionary in relation to many of our areas. Therefore, we propose not putting it off and including it, and then enshrining it in regulations,” she said.
A company in this field has already been established jointly with Rosatom. According to Ryabova, the company employs more than 20 IT specialists, and cooperation with universities is also developing.
“Naturally, this needs to be introduced into education so that our engineers start thinking differently, understanding what equipment and technologies can be used to solve new problems,” she said.
The Supervisory Board meeting also considered the registration of new HTP residents, approval of business projects and issues related to the crypto sector.
