Armenia Sees No Prospect of Returning to CSTO

Armenia sees no possibility of returning to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said. He was asked to comment on the possibility of Armenia being expelled from the organization.

“We stopped participating in the CSTO’s activities a long time ago and froze our membership. If other members of this structure or the secretariat-general make any comments, it does not matter. We will not change our position and see no possibility of returning to the CSTO,” he said, according to News.am.

Earlier, the CSTO said that the question of expelling Armenia could be placed on the agenda of the upcoming session of the Collective Security Council.
