On Saturday, October 10, 2026, Belarusian rapper Max Korzh performed a major stadium concert at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt am Main. The show drew around 30,000 fans from across Europe, but it was remembered not only for its scale, but also for serious clashes with police and the artist’s forceful anti-war speech.

Chronicle of Police Raids: 63 Detained

According to Frankfurt police, Korzh’s fans began gathering in the city several days before the performance:

Thursday and Friday — hundreds of fans held street “dvizhs” on Zeil pedestrian street and the Flößerbrücke bridge, setting off flares, playing music through speakers and staging mosh pits. Police repeatedly ordered the fans to disperse.

Concert day — police denied entry to 25 people after pyrotechnics were found at the stadium entrance.

After the show — clashes broke out in the Alt-Sachsenhausen district, and some attendees threw bottles at police officers.

Police detained a total of 63 people during the event. Criminal and administrative proceedings were initiated against them for using prohibited pyrotechnics, assaulting police officers and disturbing public order.

Anti-War Appeal from the Stage and Reaction to Chants

During the performance, Max Korzh devoted a substantial part of his time on stage to an anti-war speech, calling for an immediate end to hostilities. It was one of his longest speeches of this kind in recent times.

“This war must be stopped immediately… You cannot stop a meteorite, a plague or any epidemic. A war can be stopped. That can be done by the people who benefit from it. Stop this war and negotiate for as long as you like. If you like negotiations, then negotiate for as long as you like. Stop the fighting. You can choose not to release anyone, you can keep the guys in the barracks. Negotiate for 10, 20, 30 or 100 years. What is the point of these negotiations if the war is going on right now and people are dying? Stop the killing of people, stop the bombing. Stop testing weapons on living people.”

When the crowd in the stands began chanting anti-war slogans and shouting profanities at Vladimir Putin, the musician interrupted the chants and asked the audience not to mention politicians by name:

“I wouldn’t want you to name famous people or politicians… There was a guy in the Kyiv scene; his name was Optimist… He is no longer with us. You understand why. I would like you to chant just one name — Optimist!”

Afterwards, Korzh dedicated his song “Optimist” to the fan who had died, urging the audience to focus on remembering those they had lost. He also spoke about the value of freedom of movement and preserving one’s inner independence despite closed borders.
