A call between the presidents of the United States and Russia has not been arranged. Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said this at a briefing.

“No, the call has not yet been arranged in substantive terms,” he said in response to a related question.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said a call with Vladimir Putin could take place very soon and could include a discussion of the plague situation in the Irkutsk region.

Peskov assured that if a request is received from the United States, the call could be arranged quickly.

“If there is such an initiative, I have no doubt that it will be arranged promptly,” he said.

Peskov also said that Russia had duly informed the WHO about the situation in the Irkutsk region.

“The media are reporting a great deal, and the overwhelming majority of what the media are reporting about this situation is false information. Rely on information from Rospotrebnadzor, statements by [Anna] Popova and statements by her representatives,” he added.
