Charter flights from regional centers to Egypt during the autumn-winter season are being moved to Minsk. The Belarusian Union of Tourism Organizations reports this, citing tour operators.

This season, Intersiti is organizing tours from Homiel and Mahiliou to Sharm El-Sheikh, while AeroBelService is consolidating charter flights to Sharm El-Sheikh from Vitsyebsk and Brest.
All flights will now depart from Minsk.

The move is explained by “the need to ensure the safety and stability of flight operations.” The decision takes into account the specifics of winter navigation, weather conditions, as well as restrictions on the use of certain airspace and alternate airports. Taking all these factors into account, Belavia has decided to operate flights only from Minsk during the winter season. Charter flights from regional centers are expected to resume in the summer.

Tourists can fly from Minsk, change their tour in accordance with tour operators’ offers, or cancel their trip and receive a refund.
