Mozambique’s Ambassador to Russia and Belarus concurrently José Mateus Muária Katupha presented copies of his credentials to Belarusian First Deputy Foreign Minister Siarhei Lukashevich. The ceremony took place on October 5.

The officials discussed current issues of Belarusian-Mozambican cooperation and confirmed their interest in maintaining regular political dialogue, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reports.

Particular attention was paid to implementing the agreements reached during Maksim Ryzhankou’s visit to Mozambique in July 2026.

“We outlined priority steps to further strengthen ties, with an emphasis on the economic sphere,” the Foreign Ministry said.
