Minsk Metro to Receive 15 New Carriages From Russia by Year-End

The Minsk Metro expects to receive 15 new carriages from Russian company Metrovagonmash by the end of this year.

A contract for the Minsk 2024 model carriages was signed in February this year.

The capital’s metro has previously received 48 Minsk 2024 carriages, based on the 81-765/766 series. The carriages also use Belarusian components, including an onboard traffic safety system, vibration dampers, interior and driver’s cab lighting elements, and some other components.
