Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou met with Afghan Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi. The meeting took place on October 1 during the Afghan delegation’s visit to Belarus to attend the 2nd INNOPROM. Belarus International Industrial Exhibition.

According to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service, the sides noted significant potential for expanding trade and economic cooperation.

Azizi said that Belarusian machinery, including trucks and agricultural equipment, is highly valued in Afghanistan.

Ryzhankou confirmed Belarus’s readiness to contribute to Afghanistan’s socio-economic development, including through participation in major infrastructure projects, strengthening food security and developing the healthcare sector.

The sides agreed on specific joint steps to develop cooperation, including holding business events in the coming months.
