https://reform.news/en/us-removes-belarusian-citizen-from-sanctions-list/The US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control removed a Belarusian citizen from its sanctions list.
Sanctions have been lifted against Tatyana Protopovich. She was added to the list in April 2024 as a director of the Cyprus-based company Centuronic Ltd.
At the time, a US Treasury Department statement said that Centuronic was part of a network linked to Iraq’s Black Shield Company for General Trading, owned by businessmen Samer Rayya and Mohamad Majd Deiry. The network was involved in selling weapons, including those acquired from the sanctioned Belarusian small-arms manufacturer Kidma Tech.
No reason has been given for Protopovich’s removal from the sanctions list.
