Belarusian Defense Ministry Begins Mobilization Readiness Training

The Ministry of Defense is holding its annual mobilization readiness training from September 29 to October 2. The sessions are being led by the chairpersons of regional executive committees.

According to the ministry’s press service, the program includes theoretical and practical activities. Particular attention will be paid to individual and joint training for officials from executive committees, military commissariats and organizations, as well as military reservists assigned to territorial defense forces.

“The aim is to improve coordination among local government and organization staff during the formation of territorial defense forces and people’s militia units,” the ministry added.

The training began today in four regions of the country. In the Vitsyebsk and Homiel regions, the sessions will take place from October 13 to 16.
