Belarus’ Foreign Trade In Goods And Services Remains In Surplus Through July

The National Bank of Belarus has published data on foreign trade in goods and services for January-July. It remained in surplus. For the first time, exports exceeded imports in the first half of the year. Before that, foreign trade in goods and services had been in deficit for several years.

Exports of goods and services rose by 14.1% in January-July to $32.96 billion. Imports increased by 11.7% to $32.85 billion. The foreign trade surplus amounted to $117.2 million. In January-July last year, foreign trade ended with a deficit of $516.6 million.

According to the National Bank, goods exports rose by 11.1% to $25 billion, while imports increased by 11.7% to $28 billion. The deficit in goods trade amounted to $3.05 billion, 17.3% more than in the same period of 2025.

Services exports rose by 24.7% in the first seven months to $7.93 billion. Imports increased by 11.5% to $4.77 billion. The surplus in services trade grew 1.5 times to $3.17 billion.
