BelQueerFest 2.0 to Take Place in Warsaw, Bringing Together Belarusian and Polish Queer Cultures

The event will be held at two venues significant to Poland’s LGBTQ+ community: QueerMuzeum Warszawa and Ramona, the capital’s oldest gay bar. Guests can look forward to a packed programme, from a special guided tour and performance to a live concert and late-night DJ set.
BelQueerFest 2.0 is a space for bringing together the Polish and Belarusian queer communities in exile. The festival’s key mission is to introduce audiences to shared LGBTQ+ history, build social and cultural connections, and give Belarusian artists a distinct voice on the Polish scene.
What’s on this year’s programme?
• 14:30 — QueerMuzeum Warszawa: The festival will open with a special guided tour of the main exhibition, featuring a Belarusian interpretation by Mitya Yermalovich-Dashchynski.
• 17:30 — Immediately after the tour, artist Kiryl Masheka will present the performance “The Most Important Thing.”
• 20:00 — Ramona Bar: In the evening, the programme will move to Ramona Bar, where guests can enjoy a live concert by the Belarusian-Polish band Nocne Ptaki.
• 21:30 — Ramona Bar: Drag Show.
• 23:00 — Ramona Bar: As the night gets underway, a DJ set by petar_tverkal will begin, featuring guest drag queens.
BelQueerFest is being held in Warsaw for the second time. The first festival, held in 2024, brought together a queer literary slam, lectures and discussions on the history of Belarusian LGBTQ+ activism, and a lively music party, demonstrating the need for such an event.
