Average Salary of Public-Sector Workers in Belarus Continued to Decline in August

Real average wages in the public sector increased by 10.6% in January-August. The data was published by Belstat.
In August, the ratio of salaries in public-sector organizations to the national average was 74.4%.
The average salaries of public-sector workers in August were:
- in public administration — 3,679.2 rubles (-430.8 rubles from the previous month),
- teachers — 2,650.8 rubles (-87.7 rubles),
- preschool educators — 1,981.7 rubles (-99.8 rubles),
- academic teaching staff — 2,974.3 rubles (-385.8 rubles),
- doctors — 4,412.1 rubles (-222.1 rubles),
- mid-level medical staff — 2,409.4 rubles (-70.5 rubles).
