Licensing of Apple Imports Introduced for Six Months in Belarus

Belarus has introduced licensing for apple imports from countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union for six months. The Council of Ministers adopted the relevant resolution on September 24.

Apples imported from third countries will require one-time licenses issued by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

The government said the decision was made to ensure the domestic market is supplied with Belarusian apples during the off-season, taking into account the high harvest.
