Ukraine to Receive €3 Billion From EU

The European Union has approved the disbursement of another €3 billion tranche in financial assistance to Ukraine. This is the eighth tranche under the European program.

Nearly €800 million of the amount will be provided for the first time from a loan to support Ukraine that the EU previously decided to raise.

“The payment approved today reflects Ukraine’s successful completion of ten target milestones. To date, Ukraine has completed 84 of the 95 target milestones set out in the Plan, which is approximately 88% of the milestones planned so far.

Funding under the Ukraine Facility is intended to strengthen Ukraine’s macrofinancial stability, contribute to the recovery and modernization of the economy, ensure the functioning of public administration and support reform efforts,” the statement said.

In total, including the new tranche, Ukraine will have received €32 billion under the program since mid-2024.
