Belarus plans to introduce licensing for tire imports. A draft resolution of the Council of Ministers was discussed at a meeting of the Public Consultative (Expert) Council on Entrepreneurship Development under the Belneftekhim concern.

The draft provides for the introduction of import licensing for a period of six months. It covers imports of tires for passenger cars with a rim diameter of no more than 16 inches and tires for trucks with a load index above 121, for which Belshina produces equivalents.

The council approved the draft. It is expected to be submitted to the Council of Ministers, the Belneftekhim press service said.
