Today, September 23, Aliaksandr Lukashenka received a report from his aide and inspector for the Mahiliou Region, Nadzeya Katkavets. She reported on the implementation of instructions issued following Lukashenka’s working visit to the Shklou District on September 18.

The first topic of the report concerned improving the technological and organizational management of large agricultural enterprises, strengthening discipline and addressing existing shortcomings, using the Haviady-Agro and Aliaksandryiskaye enterprises as examples.

“The discussion also covered staffing, cost optimization at all stages and monitoring the results of work on the ground. Employees of industrial enterprises in Mahiliou have also been brought in to help address the tasks set by the head of state,” Lukashenka’s press service reports.

Katkavets reported on the progress of the harvest and autumn fieldwork in the region. The presidential aide particularly highlighted the economic efficiency of winter rapeseed, which was planted above the planned target.

According to Katkavets, winter crops have been sown on 46% of the designated area in the region, while farmers have been provided with everything necessary, including mineral fertilizers, to complete the winter sowing campaign within the optimal timeframe.

Another topic of the report concerned Lukashenka’s instruction to increase potato production. Katkavets said there are good Belarusian potato varieties and established cultivation and storage technologies to meet the target. The plans for the near future include finding additional markets for potatoes.
