The Minsk Region State Control Committee identified serious violations of the law at two retail outlets selling non-food products.

At one of the retail outlets in Dzyarzhynsk, more than 60 pairs of adult and children’s shoes were being sold without mandatory labeling. The children’s shoes also lacked documents confirming their quality and safety.

Similar violations were found at a store in the agricultural town of Shchomyslitsa in Minsk District. Men’s and women’s shoes were being sold there without labeling. In addition, garments, including children’s clothing, and toys lacked documents confirming their safety.

The operations of both retail outlets have been suspended until all the violations are fully remedied, the agency’s press service reported.
