A major forest fire broke out in the Kastsyukovichy District on Sunday, the Forestry Ministry’s press service said.

“The fire was first detected on Sunday. Today, members of the state forest protection service and forestry workers continue efforts to extinguish the blaze,” the ministry said.

Workers from the Krasnapolle, Klimavichy and Cherykau forestry enterprises have also been deployed. More than 70 people and specialized equipment are involved in the firefighting operation.
