Average industrial capacity utilisation increased to 70% in June, according to the results of a business survey published by the Economy Ministry. In May, the figure stood at 67%.

The average order backlog in June amounted to 2.9 months, compared with three months in May.

According to the survey, 72% of respondents reported that production volumes had either increased or remained unchanged in June, while 75% said demand had either grown or remained stable.

Most respondents also indicated that employment levels had remained unchanged, while 10% reported an increase in the number of employees.

“In the short term, more than half of senior managers believe the current demand trend will remain unchanged, while another 37% expect demand to increase. Forty-three per cent of enterprise managers plan to expand production volumes, and 17% intend to increase staffing levels,” the ministry said.
