A camera operated by the Lithuanian Hunters and Anglers Society recorded a group of migrants who illegally crossed the Belarus-Lithuania border.
The camera was installed in Švenčionys District near a site where wild animals are fed. However, on the morning of September 3, the footage captured not animals but 27 people. The hunters immediately passed the information on to Lithuanian border guards.
The migrants were detained. As Giedrius Mišutis, a border guard service representative, told LRT, they did not resist or attempt to flee. One person identified himself as a Turkish citizen, while another said he was a citizen of Pakistan. The others said they were citizens of Somalia. None of those detained had documents.
