A total of 204 residents of Uzbekistan’s Andijan Region have been preliminarily selected for employment in Belarus after their documents were checked. They will now undergo online interviews with potential employers. The Migration Agency of Uzbekistan reported this on September 26.
The information was announced during a meeting between Migration Agency Director Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmanov and Belarusian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Aliaksandr Aharodnikau.
“The meeting discussed the organized employment of our compatriots in Belarus, particularly in the Vitsyebsk Region. Employers in the region said they need about 800 workers. After checking the documents of candidates from Andijan Region, a list of 204 people has been compiled as of today. Candidates from other regions will also be included in the selection process”, the statement said.
The vacancies are in livestock farming, tractor operation, driving and auxiliary work.
“At the initial stage, candidates’ documents and professional skills are checked, while the final selection will be based on online interviews with employers from Belarus”, the agency said.
It was also proposed to explore the possibility of employers covering citizens’ travel expenses in advance.
