Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has banned imports into Russia of cottage cheese produced by the Kleck branch of Slutsk Cheese-Making Plant OJSC. Yeast was found in the product for a second time.
The ban will take effect on October 14.
Enhanced laboratory testing is also being introduced following the detection of Staphylococcus aureus in cheese produced by Slutsk Cheese-Making Plant OJSC.
